A short “Chitra Purvaranga” was choreographed based on the research and study of the 5th chapter of the Natya Sastra, to suit the “Nandi Sloka” and introduction of the play “Abhigyan Shakuntalam”, of Kalidasa.
 
Solo numbers taken from King Shahji’s and Sarfoji’s compositions of daru in Marathi dance dramas.
 
Working on the reconstruction of certain desi karanas mentioned in the “Sangita Ratnakara” of Saranga Deva.
 
“Birth of Dhanvantri” – a dance portrayal on the origin of Indian Medicine, for the delegates at the International conference on Blood Transfusion.
 

Adapted chosen “Doha” and “Chaupayee” from Tulsi Ramayan and put them into a varnam mettu to create a padavarnam, in a combination of Carnatic and Hindustani Ragas. Even the jathis and swarams are composed and choregraphed in keeping with the mood with relevant karanas to convey the vakhyartha abhinaya.

  Jayashree is the recipient of the Senior Research Fellowship of the Dept. of Culture, Govt. of India for her thesis on 'The Marga Talas of Tiruppugazh Tamil Nadu and Manipuri Dance'.
