The objective of the institution is to bring
about an awareness in the minds of the promising
young generation about the richness of our
living traditions, which would awaken a sense
of national pride and belonging and thereby
open various avenues for indepth study and
research, in our country’s rich heritage.
Nrithyodaya has to its credit the production
of several multi-lingual thematic presentations
and also reviving aspects of ancient Indian
theatre through dance-dramas besides conducting
lecture-demonstrations and workshops in India
and abroad.
Nrithyodaya prides itself of having celebrated
its silver jubilee as a 3-day “Rajata
Mahotsav” of lecture demonstrations
and concerts in the year 2001, in Mumbai in
the august presence of great Natyacharyas
and eminent artistes and connoisseurs.
